Well there are people who make a post or two for a couple of weeks and then just leaves it as such.
Traffic through free ads is one of the cheapest source of traffic and its targeted. People who visit through free ads are someone really interested in the offer, so they are highly targeted visitors.
Here is what I do
1) Create 10 user ids (dummy ids)
2) Write 30-40 different versions of text ads
3) Register in the free ads sites (use all the 10 user ids)
4) Start placing ads in regular intervals (the key here is to come up with really attractive ads and with very wild concepts - otherwise people don't even bother to open you ads)
5) Start receiving traffic

Increase Your Page Rank Through Article Marketing
I don't know about you, but I'm tired, tired of being sold solutions that don't work for building internet traffic. Tired of link-building schemes which don't end up working, or worse yet do damage to your sites popularity. Tired of spending money promoting my site only to abandon yet another new and dangerous approach.
Let me give you an example of this misdirected guidance. Recently I've been looking for ways to broaden my base of advertising on my web sites, it isn't that I'm unhappy with my current advertisers, but as many people are, I'm always looking to improve my click-through-rate and payment per click. I found a thread on just such a subject on a well respected SEO forum.
Almost every poster was gushing about a new ad agency, promising better ads, higher payouts, etc. I bought right into the hype , signed up (earning the person who's link I signed up through a $25 referral fee) and over the first 3 days made a whopping 34 cents.
Saying that I was devestated would be a bit of an exaggeration, but I was definitely disappointed. I went back to the forum to see how others were doing with this program and this time I noticed that 95% of the people promoting this new ad agency had an affiliate link to the agency's referral program in their signature. To be fair, the ad agency is valid, the people referring me to it were exaggerating their profits, however. It seems that everyone out there will sell you your dream, but most of what they are selling doesn't work.
So, what have I found that works for building Internet traffic. I'll give you a hint, it's something you've heard about before, but something that is tried and true and works. Article Marketing is one of the very few techniques that truly builds traffic and it does it the right way, slowly, consistently and over the long term. I know you are looking for that quick and dirty solution. I know you are thinking maybe if you throw some money at it things will happen. I know you think you're smarter than all the other web masters and your "trick" will work. In the end, you'll likely end up spending a bunch of time and money on something worthless, or worse yet, do something against Google's TOS and end up indexed at page 500.
Get into the right frame of mind and write and article. Make sure your article is easy to read, make sure it is targeted. Realize that your final goal is not just to get your article submitted to the article directories, but to have web masters put your article on their web site. Quality is important, focus is important. Use relevant keywords and please, please check your spelling. A good quality article will pay dividends in two ways, first by the article directory itself and then again when publishers pick up your article and put it on one of their pages.
Let me give you an example of the second link kickback. Last year I wrote a Christmas article about sleigh rides. Okay, honesty time here, my wife wrote the article about sleigh rides. Anyway, I submitted the article to a few article sites and then didn't think about it again. What I did notice was that about two months later I had a big increase in traffic and wondered why. I did a search in Google on my domain name and found that my article was on the front page of a page rank 5 blog. Do you have any idea what a link from a high profile blog like that is worth in traffic? Of course you do, if you didn't you wouldn't be here reading this article.
I don't need to tell you that article marketing is a solid, proven technique for driving traffic to your web site and building up a wealth of quality back links to your site, you already know that. What I do need to do is tell you that it takes time, hard work and patience, but it will pay dividends. Sometimes it takes 4 or 5 months for an article you've written to start paying those dividends, but it will. I see you need another example.
I started an account on a popular article site more than a year ago and started submitting articles. I was recently doing a search and one of my articles on that site came up in the research results and I decided to take a peek, for old times sake. To my surprise the page that my article was on was a page rank 2 page. So page rank 2 isn't a big deal, but the face that I got three links in my article from a page rank 2 site and didn't pay a cent for it is a big deal. So I looked at the rest of my articles on that site, all of the older ones had a similar page rank. Then I looked at some other, older articles. Some of them had a page rank even higher! So, even if your article doesn't get picked up, it's value appreciates over time on the article site, the high page rank that the site enjoys is passed along to the hard working article authors pages.
Stop reading and get back to work. The article you write and post today could be worth a lot more a year from now, but if you wait, that's one more day that web masters won't see your article. Keep looking for other solutions, but be wary. You have one that works, one that's tried and true and one that I truly believe in, Article Marketing!

Google Adsense tips to overcoming Smartpricing and maximizing your earnings
Almost everyone has probably heard of AdSense by now, if not then I am pretty sure you have seen AdSense and may have not even known what it was. To explain AdSense, I must first tell you a little about ' AdWords ', Adwords is a Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising system that is available through Google the search engine. You create a small text ad, which is placed on Google's search result pages, the ads match your websites subject or content. You bid or set a fee that you are willing to pay Google every time someone clicks on your ad, this is a great way to get highly targeted traffic that can turn into sales, subscribers, or whatever you are trying to achieve with your website traffic.
Now that I have explained Adwords, I can now tell you about AdSense. AdSense makes it possible for website owners to earn money by simply letting Google place ads on their web pages. AdSense ads can be either text or images, the ads can be altered to blend into the webpages, so they don't make your site look junky or poorly designed. AdSense ads are highly relevant to the content of most webpages, for instance if you place AdSense ads on a webpage that sells Coins, you will get ads about selling coins or other coin related subjects.
Every time a website visitor clicks on one of the AdSense ads on your webpage, you earn money, and every month after your first balance reaches one hundred dollars, Google will send you a check or you can have the money deposited into your checking account. The AdSense program is a great way to earn extra money if you have a website, it's easy to make a few dollars every day, and some folks are making thousands of dollars per month doing it.
When I first started Adsense, I placed the ads on my webpages and it wasn't very long until I had made a small amount of money, a few days later my account balance had grown even more. I was pretty happy, but I thought to myself, after reading a lot of articles, I am not making nearly as much money as others are making with AdSense, something must be wrong.
Then I thought, maybe my website doesn't get the traffic that the others are getting ? I chatted with a lot of people on the internet that were in the program, and I discovered that the amount of visitors I get, was higher than some of the traffic they receive. You may think that 200 - 400 unique visitors a day is low for website traffic, you are very wrong, the average website gets a lot less per day, especially if your website is only a few months old or is not optimized for the search engines, or it's subject matter has a very low search demand.
If my website was getting a nice amount of traffic or visitors, why was my AdSense earnings so low ? The first thing that I discovered that was wrong was ' adsense ad placement ', that's right, you have to study each webpage's layout that you plan on placing the ads on. Wherever your webpage has sections or areas that grab and hold the visitors attention, this is a prime area to place a section of AdSense ads, in other words, place the ads on your webpages where folks will notice them.
We are currently allowed to place up to 3 different AdSense ad sections or groups on each webpage. I found after some testing that the best places for my ads are, just under the title or sub-title, near the middle of the page, and near the end or bottom of my page. If you place one section of AdSense ads near the top of your webpage, folks entering your site will probably notice the ads, and if they scroll down a ways and theres more ads, that increases the odds that they will notice them also.
Probably the best place to place one section of ads is at the bottom of your webpages, right after your last bit of text or interesting reading, but make sure you place the ads before any other links, because when visitors are ready to leave your site, they may leave by clicking on one of your ads, earning you money, and if you have other links showing before your ads, they may leave your site by clicking on one of them. So after I studied the layout of all my webpages, I went back through and repositioned the AdSense ads, almost immediately I noticed my earnings increased.
I left my webpages alone, and about three months later I received my first check in the mail, it wasn't a lot of money but still for really doing no physical work I was very glad to get it. My earnings slowly started getting better and better after that first check, the next month I received another check, then the following month I got another and so on. After having been in the AdSense program for about 8 months, and chatting with more folks who were also in the program I found that my earnings were still low compared to some other people.
I then discovered another method that increased my earnings even more. I noticed that my ads stood out from the rest of my webpages text and content. I had always thought, I should make my ads a different color than my webpages background so folks would notice my ads, and click on them, I was totally wrong.
Almost everyone that has been on the internet for any length of time, has become so accustomed to seeing banners and other flashy ads that almost everyone now has what is called 'ad blindness', that is, when they visit a site they are automatically turned off or they ignore anything that looks like an ad.
I used the Adsense editor and I changed my ads background and border colors so they matched the background color of my webpages, and I changed the text color of the ads so they matched the text color of my webpages content. The ads blended in very well, to me they were barely noticeable from the rest of my webpage, but right away the number of clicks on the ads increased, and the earnings went up even more.
I left my webpages alone and for another couple months my earnings stayed about the same, I was content with the results, but my earnings were still not as good as some of the other folks who received roughly the same amount of traffic that I did. Then I found out that they had done something else to their AdSense ads, something that made the ads seem to really get peoples attention, they were placing images near the ads, it seemed adding images made the ads look unique and it helped make the amount of clicks on them rise.
So I searched the internet and I found some little icons and images that matched the content of my webpages, and near where the Adsense ads were shown, I displayed the images by adding a simple html image tag. I asked google if adding the images was within the AdSense rules, and I was advised that they were fine as long as they didn't make folks click on the ads, by this I mean, you cannot have a flashing sign that says, ' click these ads ', or you shouldn't have a scantily dressed girl pointing to the ads saying ' make me happy - click here ' or stuff like that, just make some nice little images that pertain to your webpages content.
The next couple months or so, my earnings still continued rising slowly. By this time, besides my regular webpages I had been working on several BLOG's pertaining to different subjects, so I thought I might as well place AdSense ads on all of my blogs also and make even more money. For a couple weeks my earnings went up quite a bit, and I was very happy, then all of a sudden, just like someone turning off a switch, my AdSense earnings plummeted.
I was now making in a day, what I had made when I first joined the program, what the heck happened I thought to myself ? My traffic was still slowly rising, the number of clicks was rising, but for some strange reason, the earnings per click, (EPC) had dropped a lot, it was horrible.
Then I learned that Google had introduced a new feature or system into the AdSense program, called 'smart pricing', 'smart pricing' automatically adjusts the cost of an ad click. Using Googles system of analyzing AdSense data, if it shows that a click from one of your webpages is less likely to turn into an online sale, or other business result for the Ad publisher, the amount you earn per click in AdSense is greatly reduced.
When 'smart pricing', was introduced, some AdSense users saw their EPC drop to as low as 3 cents a click, where before 'smart pricing', that same click might of earned them a dollar or much more, this was quite a drastic drop in earnings.
What is horrible about 'smart pricing', besides the earnings loss to AdSense users, is that one site or webpage can trigger it, and once triggered by that one webpage, it effects your entire account and every webpage you have will now earn substantially less per click. Remember awhile back when I had added AdSense Ads to my BLOG's, that seemed to be what had triggered smart pricing for me.
The BLOG's were on numerous subjects, but they were not business or real professional sites, so hardly any business results such as sales, occurred from folks clicking the ads on these sites. After I removed the Adsense ads from the BLOG's, it took about a week, then I noticed that the EPC was once again climbing back up, yes the 'smart pricing', spell had been broken.
If you are thinking about trying AdSense, or if you are already in it, beware of the smart pricing curse, or if it has already effected your earnings, try removing AdSense ads from your webpages a few pages at a time, the smart-pricing system is evaluated each week, so it will take a few days to see if you have removed ads from the page(s) that triggered it.

Google Adsense for Photography Websites – Earn Money While You Sleep
Many photographers have a website these days. It is an important tool for promotion and marketing in a highly competitive field. Photography websites are very popular with many sites receiving several hundred visitors a day. Google Adsense is a program of Pay Per Click (PPC) whereby you place ads on your site and earn revenue every time someone clicks an Ad.
In order to participate in the program you must apply to https://www.google.com/adsense/.
Not all sites are accepted into the program, any sites with pornography, gambling or pharmaceuticals are not allowed. If your site is not in one of these categories you are sure to be accepted.
Once accepted it is a simple matter of adding a few lines of code to your site. Google Adsense’s web based user interface is easy to use and allows you to customize the look of your ad units. In additon to displaying Adsense on your site, Google also allows you to put a Search Bar on your site. When people enter a search term and click on one of the ads in the SERPs you get paid. Not all Ads are created equal.
Where you place the ads on the page and the color you use to display them will have a huge impact on the number of click you receive. Google has a very useful page that shows the “hotspots” of a page, helping to determine the best position for the ads on your page.
Now when it comes to Photography, many other photographers use Google Adwords (You pay to advertise on other peoples sites and in the Search Engine Results Page (SERPs)) and it is very possible that your site will end up having ad units displaying other photographers ads. Now why would you want to advertise your competition, even if clicking that link brings you some revenue.
A couple of issues with this. First, Google allows you to block up to 200 URL’s of your competitors. It is a good idea is to block all the competitors in your local area. A photographer advertising on the other side of the world is not much threat to you.
Many people like surfing photography websites, just looking at pictures on random sites, and these people make up the majority of users looking at your site. You want to provide them with opportunities to look at other photographers work at the same time paying you for the referral.
Next it is a good idea to create a page explaining to your potential clients why you have ads on your site. It helps to explain that you are earning money from the traffic to your site and that you are happy to refer people to your competition. This shows that you have great confidence in your work and your ability to close sales, and everyone respects legitimate attempts to earn extra money.

Here I am sharing my experiences while I attempted to make money working from home.
Everyone knows that it is not an easy task especially for a newbie to make money online. It requires lot of patience and perseverance. Two years ago when I decided to make extra money using Internet, first I opted for easiest job I came across, to work as home based typist for some companies. Some of them required to place ads for their companies and some offered some online data entry jobs.
In case of ad typing job the compensation given was very less and irregular and I was required to honor the deadlines. They called it data entry, type at home and work from home jobs, soon I realized they are not data entry but just a way of advertising those same companies, bringing more and more people to do the same thing again. The other job which looked like a real data entry job was typing in an online format, some data given by them. However here the volume was so much and accuracy demanded was so high that it was virtually impossible for an average person to complete the task in the given time limit. The joining fee was non-refundable. I could not finish even a single assignment in time.
Subsequently, I tried various other programs like paid to read e-mails, paid to surf, taking surveys, some high yield income programs etc. etc. none of them worked for me. I even tried stock and forex markets, I found them more risky.
Later I came to know that, if I want to make profits, I must sell some digital information products to people. The best way would be to create own product and sell it online with 100% profit, but it is not easy for everyone to make own product and build a website with an attractive sales pages. Then easier way is to sell other's products which we normally call affiliate programs.
I started with Clickbank products. I used ad placing in free classified free websites, I started getting results with practically no investment. Then I took multiple products and placed in a simple website and added adsense on it. It worked even better. I started using Adwords with cheaper bids like $0.10 per click. The performance of my home business improved. But then these days the cost per click for normal keywords have gone up and it requires more skill to use Adwords now. most of my PPC campaigns started showing losses.
Having said this, I think for a beginner who tries to make money with work from home job, The safe start would be to try PPC publishing like Adsense and then try some affiliate programs from that website. To get traffic free methods can be tried like placing ads in classified websites or trying SEO techniques.
I also realized that reselling some products is also a good option to make money online as you do not have to take trouble to create products or web page. Mostly the resell products come with ready made website, you just need to upload the sales page on to your website. Lastly one should keep in mind that advertising or marketing is the most important aspect of any online home based business. The most inexpensive way to promote your website is to keep a good quality and unique content in the website and build more and more numbers of inbound links from other websites, which can be achieved by ad placing, writing relevant articles and submitting them in article sites with links to your website.

Is Google in Trouble & Facing Bankruptcy?
[NEW YORK - Wednesday] - by Devon Melk. Rumors are now running amok that the 2nd most powerful website on the entire Worldwide-Web may file BANKRUPTCY, with the deadline set for this December; being the date of both discharge and dissolution in a Federal Court of Law.
This would come as a SHOCK to investors and "Googlers" alike who both profit and benefit from the use of the World's largest and most powerful search engine which receives far in excess of 100 MILLION unique daily visitors and well over 300 million individual searches daily - making it perhaps the single most valuable public data resource as an "information bank" online the world over.
But is the rumor true or false?
The origin of the rumor occurred when some savvy Internet marketers began making statements that they had heard "insiders' talk" that the company (now publicly traded since April 30, 2004, just over 3 years ago) may face financial disaster with the release of a "new system" that would allow advertisers to get their otherwise pay-per-click (PPC) advertising completely free.
This, of course, would naturally lead directly (like a domino- effect) to the collapse of Google's sibling program AdSense; as its only revenue comes from the direct sales of AdWords "clicks."
The "new system" in question and responsible for the controversy over getting AdWords pay-per-clicks free is that developed by Dr Jon Cohen of New York City, New York (now retired) who discovered a simple, yet effective means, for getting Google PPC ads without having to suffer the costs involved.
The retired New York doctor and native has a publicly disclosed net worth now in excess of $70 million [US], having generated well over $377 million in product sales from sixteen (16) separate online businesses within just nine (9) years since first venturing online in 1998 (about the same time as Google was founded).
It is estimated by company insiders and leading financial analysts that the "good doctor" (as he's called by "all who know him") has purportedly saved well over $93 million (some estimates suggest closer to $136 million) in otherwise paid advertising at Google and the other major players in the PPC targeted-search arena online - including Yahoo, MSN, AskJeeves, AllTheWeb.com, HotBot, AltaVista, Lycos and Netscape, just to name a few.
The "secret" became available to the general masses last April, and its very release caused such a major sweeping stir among the community of Internet-marketers, affiliate-marketers, webmasters, ecommerce company owners and surfers alike that the site quickly rose to break the top most visited 1,000 websites on the entire planet briefly; and as can be seen here:

When asked if the "secret" would somehow ruin Google, Dr Cohen revealed almost cryptically that it actually would bring about just the opposite effect, and "stimulate" even more business volume for the virtual giant.
Many people were dismayed to find that Google itself is deliberately allowing the purchase of 100,000's of PPC ads offering the secret system to the general public -- which indicates to most observers that either they [Google] haven't caught it, or they simply feel that it somehow is not a threat to their continued operation.
For anyone's inspection factual and hard evidence supporting this can be seen by simply looking to the right-hand column when doing a search for "get google ads free" (specifically in quotation marks) at Google.com under the "Sponsored Links" section.

You can also see nearly 100,000 specific results in the "organic" fields index located in the center and which occupies the bulk of the results pages.
One would think that if Google felt threatened by such a release as this earth-shaking "secret" is, they would hardly allow for either paid-ads or organic content to make the top searches regarding it.
However, evidence supports to the contrary - and this being the case now for a full six (6) months.
Mysteriously, within just two (2) hours of its initial release last April, Google itself actually did in fact 'pause' the parent firm's attempts at advertising the new system using PPCs on their search engine - only, however, to release the hold after a Review Team consisting of some of Google's top executives completed performing an in-depth investigation and made the determination to ALLOW the ads to run.
The secret system was recently revised however to include "major new content" and "more exhaustive instructions," and is now available at its Home Site:

The most important addition is that of a so-called "string of code" (tech-talk for some HTML) that can be added to any webpage(s) that instantly causes the elimination of the page owner's AdWords costs right away.
Even a "live" woman spokes-representative ("Rachel") has been added to the site, and who appears to literally walk out onto the webpage and talk to visitors and explain a bit more how the mysterious new breakthrough system works.
Since the addition of this new "live" spokes-woman has now appeared at the site, company Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Mr Todd Coutrin states that "sales for the system have skyrocketed above 2,430% suddenly and with no limit in sight."
Coutrin continues: "With the newest revision now in place, plus all the additions added, affiliates for the new system can expect to earn even more than ever before!" (Note: Affiliates make up the bulk of the firm's sales generation.)
The refund rate for the new revised version of the secret (named V5.1) has dropped to less than half of what it was before the newer version's release; meaning it's now even more readily-received and put to use than ever before (perhaps in large part to the newer simplicity of application) - now making it the safest and one of the best resellers for the networks of affiliate marketers who earn their revenues from the reselling of other electronic publishers' stock and digital product lines.
When asked, Google company representatives stated matter-of-factly that the rumors of bankruptcy for the ecommerce giant are simply not true, and that the rumor millings are in fact simply the result of "panics" brought on by the usual hysteria associated with anything large, new or revolutionary - or in this case, all three.
Attempts to contact both Sergey Brin and Larry Page, the former Stanford University students who founded Google in 1998, to request comment were unsuccessful.
Again, Google itself seems to be the biggest supporter of the "new system" as it's allowing more and more advertisers to promote the new system on its search engine before over 100 million daily searches and surfers.

The origin of the rumor occurred when some savvy Internet marketers began making statements that they had heard "insiders' talk" that the company (now publicly traded since April 30, 2004, just over 3 years ago) may face financial disaster with the release of a "new system" that would allow advertisers to get their otherwise pay-per-click (PPC) advertising completely free.
This, of course, would naturally lead directly (like a domino- effect) to the collapse of Google's sibling program AdSense; as its only revenue comes from the direct sales of AdWords "clicks."
The "new system" in question and responsible for the controversy over getting AdWords pay-per-clicks free is that developed by Dr Jon Cohen of New York City, New York (now retired) who discovered a simple, yet effective means, for getting Google PPC ads without having to suffer the costs involved.
The retired New York doctor and native has a publicly disclosed net worth now in excess of $70 million [US], having generated well over $377 million in product sales from sixteen (16) separate online businesses within just nine (9) years since first venturing online in 1998 (about the same time as Google was founded).
It is estimated by company insiders and leading financial analysts that the "good doctor" (as he's called by "all who know him") has purportedly saved well over $93 million (some estimates suggest closer to $136 million) in otherwise paid advertising at Google and the other major players in the PPC targeted-search arena online - including Yahoo, MSN, AskJeeves, AllTheWeb.com, HotBot, AltaVista, Lycos and Netscape, just to name a few.
The "secret" became available to the general masses last April, and its very release caused such a major sweeping stir among the community of Internet-marketers, affiliate-marketers, webmasters, ecommerce company owners and surfers alike that the site quickly rose to break the top most visited 1,000 websites on the entire planet briefly; and as can be seen here:

When asked if the "secret" would somehow ruin Google, Dr Cohen revealed almost cryptically that it actually would bring about just the opposite effect, and "stimulate" even more business volume for the virtual giant.
Many people were dismayed to find that Google itself is deliberately allowing the purchase of 100,000's of PPC ads offering the secret system to the general public -- which indicates to most observers that either they [Google] haven't caught it, or they simply feel that it somehow is not a threat to their continued operation.
For anyone's inspection factual and hard evidence supporting this can be seen by simply looking to the right-hand column when doing a search for "get google ads free" (specifically in quotation marks) at Google.com under the "Sponsored Links" section.

You can also see nearly 100,000 specific results in the "organic" fields index located in the center and which occupies the bulk of the results pages.
One would think that if Google felt threatened by such a release as this earth-shaking "secret" is, they would hardly allow for either paid-ads or organic content to make the top searches regarding it.
However, evidence supports to the contrary - and this being the case now for a full six (6) months.
Mysteriously, within just two (2) hours of its initial release last April, Google itself actually did in fact 'pause' the parent firm's attempts at advertising the new system using PPCs on their search engine - only, however, to release the hold after a Review Team consisting of some of Google's top executives completed performing an in-depth investigation and made the determination to ALLOW the ads to run.
The secret system was recently revised however to include "major new content" and "more exhaustive instructions," and is now available at its Home Site:

The most important addition is that of a so-called "string of code" (tech-talk for some HTML) that can be added to any webpage(s) that instantly causes the elimination of the page owner's AdWords costs right away.
Even a "live" woman spokes-representative ("Rachel") has been added to the site, and who appears to literally walk out onto the webpage and talk to visitors and explain a bit more how the mysterious new breakthrough system works.
Since the addition of this new "live" spokes-woman has now appeared at the site, company Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Mr Todd Coutrin states that "sales for the system have skyrocketed above 2,430% suddenly and with no limit in sight."
Coutrin continues: "With the newest revision now in place, plus all the additions added, affiliates for the new system can expect to earn even more than ever before!" (Note: Affiliates make up the bulk of the firm's sales generation.)
The refund rate for the new revised version of the secret (named V5.1) has dropped to less than half of what it was before the newer version's release; meaning it's now even more readily-received and put to use than ever before (perhaps in large part to the newer simplicity of application) - now making it the safest and one of the best resellers for the networks of affiliate marketers who earn their revenues from the reselling of other electronic publishers' stock and digital product lines.
When asked, Google company representatives stated matter-of-factly that the rumors of bankruptcy for the ecommerce giant are simply not true, and that the rumor millings are in fact simply the result of "panics" brought on by the usual hysteria associated with anything large, new or revolutionary - or in this case, all three.
Attempts to contact both Sergey Brin and Larry Page, the former Stanford University students who founded Google in 1998, to request comment were unsuccessful.
Again, Google itself seems to be the biggest supporter of the "new system" as it's allowing more and more advertisers to promote the new system on its search engine before over 100 million daily searches and surfers.

Selling Sites For Big Money

Profitable websites sell for more then turnkey websites. That is just a fact. If you can get a site listed in MSN and Google and it's earning Adsense money, then you are going to make 20X more then if it is not profitable.
But you should not just focus on Adsense. You should setup affiliate program links on the site, sell links on your website for cash and even add a mailing list to the site and collect peoples email addresses. These are all ways to add more money to your bottom line at sale.
Using this method for Bum Marketing is also a great idea.
So how do you go about selling content sites for sale?
I sell all my sites at http://forums.digitalpoint.com/
It is free to sell on that site, you just need 25 posts or more before you can. I've sold thousands of dollars worth of content sites on that forum and of course Sitepoint.com/marketplace (this site has a fee to list).
Selling a site is simple. Here is a sample ad I've used.

If you are a blogger trying to make a living at home, here are my suggestions. I am open to more ideas so if you know something I don't, please leave a comment and I will be happy to add your suggestion to my blog.
1.A blogger of course has a blogsite, and perhaps even more than one. Its a great idea to buy a domain name with Namecheap or GoDaddy, and redirect your blog to your domain name. This gives you a more professional appearance. If you have other businesses you are running, such as an E-Bay store or an E-Book, use your blogsite to link those businesses and this will assist you in your SEO ranking as well as bring you more traffic.
2.A blogger should have a Yuwie website. This is found money. Yuwie pays you to advertise your websites, blog, and build a social network. Do It. There is no excuse not to. Yuwie is FREE. 3.Get Google Adsense or Bidvertiser. With Adsense you can place ads on all your websites...again, Found Money. No brainer.
4.Write for Helium. Open a Helium account and start writing. This is a slow-go admittedly but if you keep at it, you will build a reputation for yourself in the search engines and make a little cash as well. Plus, the other cool thing about Helium is that it gives you ideas of things to write about because they pose questions to you. It's pretty awesome, and its easy.
5.Sell stuff on E-Bay. Don't open an E-Bay store, just have a few auctions going every week. You can place ADS for your blog site and businesses on each auction. No Brainer.
6.Join Linkreferral, place your blogsite in their listing and boost your ranking by rating other websites. This brings you FREE traffic everyday. Trust me, if you join LR they will explain their program, and you will meet interesting people, get ideas, and other website owners visiting your site. 6.If you are a true ambitious writer, then write articles...at least one a week, and submit them to article hubs. I have a list of hubs I can recommend if you are interested. This is TRULY a wonderful way to get your name recognized in the Search Engines.

Active vs. Passive Website Traffic Generation
Many of my clients and list members ask the same questions when it comes to generating website traffic. From the questions, I can sometimes pick up a thread of misunderstanding about website promotion. One of those threads surfaced last week and turned into this article.
There are actually two broad types of website promotion: Active and Passive.
Things that fall into the category of Passive are:
Search engine optimization
Writing and Growing Website Content (The pages on your site whether they be articles, reports, your weblog, or a forum)
Many more website promotion tactics fall into the Active Category:
Syndicating your content (like this article for example)
Paid advertising (Banner and test ads, pay-per-click advertising, ezine advertising, etc.
Linking strategies (Reciprocal and non reciprocal linking)
Being active in your "community" (Posting to forums that your customers and associates frequent, for example.)
Doing teleseminars
Offline networking
Joint ventures with businesses who have the attention of your target market.
Free classified advertising (Some people still see benefits from this type of advertising to this day online.)
Offline media advertising (Radio, TV, Newspaper, Trade Magazines and other publications, etc.)
Reports, software and other viral free tools that point back to your paid services or products.
The two types of promotion are also referred to as "push/pull" website promotion. Passive website promotion "pulls" traffic TO your site while active promotion goes out on the web and "pushes" traffic to your site.
Looking at the two lists above, where do you think, if you HAD to choose between them, your time would be best spent.
Now I will never knock search engine marketing. That is a great source of sometimes massive free traffic. Sometimes. Unless you are in a niche that is very competitive. You see, if you are in a competitive niche you will always be out-spent and out-worked by companies with endless budgets and staff for the top positions.
Most mom and pop sites in competitive niches are not going to do well in the search engines if they don't spend exorbitant sums of time, training, and money on getting their sites perfected just for search engines.
You should do what you can do with optimization. Do what you can afford in time and money. Realize that search engine marketing is an ongoing battle to get and keep good rankings. It is a long term, ongoing traffic solution.
But also realize there is a lot of active promotion you can do today to get people to your site who are interested in your product/service whether your site is in the engines or not.
Most people still think you have to wait a long time to make ANYTHING happen for your traffic stats to start improving. That is not true. You could get a boost in traffic in as little as a couple of hours using active website promotion strategies.
The simplest way would be to go to Google and start an adwords campaign. Simple meaning it is easy to start with an account and create your first ad. 74. Include a media section on your website so that you will give the media an easy way to stay up to date on what your company is doing.
75. Try to teach a class at your local community college or university. The more exposure you get in the public, the more credibility you will receive.
76. Make a screensaver and make it easy for individuals in your niche to download it. Have eye candy graphics combined with your company logo to brand yourself.

78. Write and publish a book. Having your own book is a quick way to gain credibility.

81. Volunteer. Donate your time to a good clause…you can always network with people and form connections at the same time.

85. Put an ad in your local yellow pages to get some local customers. Yellow pages tend to be more successful then newspaper ads because individuals are looking for a particular service when they are browsing through the yellow pages as opposed to newspapers.
86. Post bulletins in your local supermarket. However, since not everyone may carry a pen or pencil, place your contact information and url on strips on the bottom so that individuals can rip it off and take it with them.
87. Host your own commercial so you can put “as seen on TV” on your products.

89. Break a record or shoot to be in the Guinness world records for something.

92. Make your visitors more involved in your website. You can help accomplish this by adding CGI scripts to your site.
93. Make sure you have no broken links on your site, and make sure that your website shows clearly in all browsers.
94. Find domain names that get traffic, purchase them, and have them redirect to your website.
95. Spell correctly whenever using keywords in writing.
96. Look at sites related to your niche to try to figure out how they get their traffic.
97. Properly optimize your website for the right keywords.
98. Try to avoid java scripts on your website as much as possible.
99. Do not use frames on your websit.
100. If your website becomes popular and starts getting lots of traffic, try switching to a dedicated server. The longer you site is down equals the more lost visitors you will have.
101. Write a quality 101 article about a steamy topic that people want to know more about in your niche ;).
